Brinjal typically has an oblong or oval shape, although there are also round and elongated varieties available. The skin can range in color from deep purple to lighter shades of purple, as well as green, white, or even striped varieties. The flesh of the brinjal is firm, smooth, and creamy white in color, with a spongy texture.
